About the place
Triund is one of Kangra's best-known mountain walks, reached through oak, deodar and rhododendron forest above McLeod Ganj. The trail eventually opens onto a broad alpine ridge with the Dhauladhar peaks rising sharply on one side and the Kangra Valley spreading below on the other. Its accessibility makes Triund an important introduction to Himalayan trekking.
