Adi Kailash is a sacred Himalayan peak in Pithoragarh district, close to the Indo-Tibetan border. Also known as Chhota Kailash, it rises above the Jolingkong and Kuti Valley landscape and is deeply associated with Lord Shiva. Parvati Sarovar and Gauri Kund lie near its base, making the wider area both a major pilgrimage destination and a dramatic high-altitude mountain landscape.
