Key Monastery is the largest monastery in Spiti and one of the valley's defining landmarks. Its clustered rooms, narrow passages, prayer halls and ancient religious collections rise above the Spiti landscape near Kaza. Generations of monks have studied here, giving the monastery both architectural importance and a continuing role in the spiritual life of the valley.
