About the place
Sinthan Top rises to about 3,784 metres on the mountain route between Kishtwar and Anantnag. The approach climbs through forests and alpine pastures before reaching broad views across the Pir Panjal. Heavy snow makes the road strongly seasonal, while summer opens the pass for road journeys, highland scenery and access between the two regions.
