About the place

The feeling of Aru Valley

Aru Valley lies upstream of Pahalgam in Anantnag district, where a small mountain settlement opens into broad meadows and conifer forests. It is an important starting point for routes toward Lidderwat, Tarsar-Marsar and Kolahoi Glacier. The combination of village life, grazing pastures and trail access gives Aru a quieter character than the busier Pahalgam circuit.
