Dirang is a mountain town in West Kameng district between Bomdila and Tawang. Its lower elevation, river valley, orchards and traditional Monpa settlements make it an important acclimatisation stop on the western Arunachal circuit. Hot springs, Dirang Dzong and nearby Sangti Valley add cultural and natural depth beyond its role as a transit town.
