Doodhpathri is a broad alpine meadow in Budgam district, set within the Pir Panjal and surrounded by pine, fir and deodar forests. Cold streams cross its grassy landscape, while shepherds use the higher pastures during the warmer months. Snow limits winter access, leaving spring and summer as the main seasons for experiencing its open highland scenery.
