About the place

The feeling of Golden Pagoda

Golden Pagoda, or Kongmu Kham, stands beside the Tengapani River at Noi Chenam in Namsai district. Built in a Tai-Burmese Buddhist architectural style, the complex contains a gilded Buddha image, landscaped gardens, monastic facilities, a library and a cultural research centre. The site reflects the deep Theravada Buddhist traditions of the Tai Khamti community and is one of eastern Arunachal’s major spiritual landmarks.
