The feeling of Menga Mandir

Menga Mandir is a natural rock-cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Upper Subansiri district. The cave contains a sacred lingam and two narrow tunnels extending into the rock. Located north of Daporijo near the Subansiri and Menga rivers, the shrine attracts devotees particularly during Shivratri and combines pilgrimage with an unusual natural cave setting.
