The feeling of Samdruptse
Samdruptse is a sacred hill above Namchi crowned by a 135-foot statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint revered across Sikkim. The monument rises from forested slopes and overlooks Namchi, neighbouring valleys and distant Himalayan ranges. Conceived as an international pilgrimage centre, the site combines Buddhist devotion, monumental art and one of the district’s broadest elevated viewpoints.
