About the place
Gangtok is Sikkim’s capital and largest town, built along a ridge in the eastern Himalaya. MG Marg, monasteries, government institutions and dense hillside neighbourhoods give it an urban mountain character, while views toward Khangchendzonga connect the city constantly to the surrounding landscape. It is also the principal base for journeys toward Tsomgo Lake, Nathula and other parts of Sikkim.
