The feeling of Parshuram Kund

Parshuram Kund is a major Hindu pilgrimage site in Lohit district on the lower reaches of the Lohit River. Surrounded by forested Mishmi hills, the sacred site is associated with the legend of sage Parashurama. Each January, large numbers of pilgrims arrive around Makar Sankranti to take a ritual dip, turning this remote river landscape into one of Arunachal Pradesh’s most important annual pilgrimage gatherings.
