About the place
The feeling of Tezu
Tezu is the headquarters of Lohit district and one of Arunachal Pradesh’s older administrative towns. Set at low elevation near the Lohit River, it serves communities including Mishmi and Tai Khamti groups and provides access to Parshuram Kund, Wakro and routes leading toward Anjaw. The town’s museums, religious sites and river landscapes make it a useful cultural base as well as a transport centre.
