About the place

The feeling of Pasighat

Pasighat is the headquarters of East Siang district and Arunachal Pradesh's oldest town, established in 1911. The Siang River defines its landscape before descending toward the Assam plains. Adi culture, riverfront scenery and access to nearby wildlife and waterfall destinations make Pasighat an important eastern gateway, with a very different low-elevation character from the state's high Himalayan towns.
